This year we have had to adapt how we deliver flu vaccinations to patients to help keep our patients and staff safe. We strongly encourage all eligible patients to book their flu vaccination appointment as soon as you receive your invitation.
Over 65s/ at risk patients:
We will be running four Saturday clinics for patients who are will be aged 65 or over by the end of March 2021 and for patients at risk of developing complications from the flu. This includes patients who are pregnant, are immunocompromised or who have a long term condition such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, and heart disease.
We have written to this cohort of patients with instructions of how to make an appointment. Please ensure you read the safety information carefully in your invitation letter. We would be grateful if patients can book their appointment online via the Patient Access or NHS App where possible. Alternatively please call the surgery on 01926 428321.
- Saturday 19th September 9-1pm
- Saturday 26th September 9-1pm
- Saturday 3rd October 9-1pmt
- Saturday 10th October 9-1pm
We ask that patients wear a face covering when attending a clinic and adhere to social distancing rules at all times. Please attend alone where possible. We ask that patients wear clothing that makes it easy to expose your left upper arm.
Appointments are required to secure your vaccination – walk in appointments will not be available on the day.
Child Flu (2 and 3 year olds)
We are now booking patients for the nasal flu spray. Please contact the practice to book your appointment. This appointment may be in the marquee and we ask that each child attends with one parent where possible.
Over 50s / Year 7s
There has been suggestion from the government that the NHS will be offering vaccinations to Over 50s and Year 7s for the first time this year. We are awaiting further information about vaccination plans for this cohort. Please do not book an appointment at your practice until contacted.
We appreciate your support and patience. Thank you.
