Practice Ethos and Profile

The Practice Ethos

The Practice works hard to maintain an excellent reputation, both as a traditional, patient centered, holistic family Practice, whilst making full use of the latest technology and research evidence to provide the very best care.

Our doctors are complemented by our team of highly trained nurses who play an ever increasing role in the provision of healthcare taking the lead in the Practice on many aspects of managing specific chronic conditions.

Surgery Profile

There are six GPs, three male GPs and three female GPs. All the GPs have an area of special interest that they enjoy, covering areas from women’s health to prescribing issues. These areas are discussed at our weekly lunchtime meeting, along with any other items of business that may need attention.

Our Practice Nursing Sisters provide full-time Monday to Friday cover for our patients. Each Nurse has also chosen a specialty in which they take the lead, covering asthma/respiratory disease, CHD, diabetes and travel/immunisations. We have a part time Healthcare Assistant.

We also have links with our attached staff of Health Visitors and District Nurses. We have a Counselor and run a stop smoking service for our patients.

Please see our Practice Team page for complete staff profiles.

We have a unique management/administrative team, who provide a comprehensive service to the Partners, Nursing Teams and importantly our Patients. The Practice has worked hard to become paper light, are Path laboratory linked, scan and READ code all incoming post operating as efficiently as possible to provide the best possible service to our patients.

The surgery accommodation is arranged on two floors. Each doctor and nurse has a dedicated ground floor Consulting Room with a further Treatment Room and a Minor Operations Room for our Practice Nursing Team.

Waterside Medical Centre is part of the South Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group.
